Our desire is that Genesis grows beyond the four walls of the church building. We believe in people, and we want to connect people to other people. Our goal is to develop small “communities” within the larger body that is Genesis Church. We hope  to accomplish this through several ways, small groups, events, and building an online community that you can share laughs, hurts, and praises with. Proverbs 27:17 says “As iron sharpens iron,
so one man sharpens another.” Let’s build a community that strengthens each other and helps one another through this journey called life.

The following is instructions on how to follow Genesis Church on Facebook and Twitter. We encourage you to do so, and to not only follow and befriend Genesis, but also follow and befriend other people from Genesis.

If you are already a facebook user, you can add Genesis Church as a friend by clicking here. Facebook is a great networking tool that allows friends to connect with each other easily and intuitively. Genesis uses facebook to connect with people and post upcoming events and schedule changes. If you do not have a facebook account follow these simple steps.

  1. Go to www.facebook.com and fill out the sign up form.
  2. Once you have an account, you can login and search for friends.Use the search feature located at the top of the page to search for genesischurchwp.
  3. Happy Facebooking!

Twitter can be a bit confusing at first. But if you follow these simple steps it should help you maneuver through the confusion quickly. Twitter is unique in that it is internet & text based. You can get all of your “tweets” on your mobile phone.  It’s kind of like texting all of your friends at the same time. If Genesis Church was to send an update via twitter everybody who followed Genesis, and received SMS updates on their phone, would then receive the update via text.  Confused? Follow these steps.

  1. Setup a Twitter account here.
  2. On the “Find Sources That Interest You” page: You can 1. choose suggestions, 2. find friends via email, and lastly enter information to find 3. “anyone,” in this last step Enter genesiswp in the search box, and click “Follow.”
  3. Click Finish. This should take you to your Twitter profile page.
  4. On your profile page click “Settings” in the top right. Then click “Mobile” in the navigation bar under your username.
  5. Enter your phone number and click the start button and follow instructions.
  6. Twitter does not automatically send  updates to your phone. You have control over who’s tweets get sent to your phone by using this icon. You can find this icon by going to your homepage on twitter clicking on “following” in the right hand column and then each person you follow will have one of these icons next to their name. White will not be sent to your phone, Green will be.
